Case: Hardshell Case

Condition: Very good with plenty of scratches/marks throughout. Some finish checking as well.  Bit of wear through the finish on the neck.  

Year: 1955 - 1956

Tech Notes: This vintage guitar is a true gem, expertly cleaned, tested, and ready to play. All hardware and electronics are fully functional, fretboard was cleaned and frets polished. It shows only minor fret and fingerboard wear along the G/B/E strings and the first few frets, typical for a well-loved instrument of this age.

The truss rod works perfectly, and it’s set up with minimal neck relief and comfortable medium/low action, with easy playability and consistent intonation across the entire neck. If you're looking for a reliable jazz box with character and years of music left in it, this guitar hits all the marks. 

The serial number dates this between 1955-1956.

Pot codes (IRC 6154190 500k 514, indicates the pots dated to 1955). Original Jupiter yellow tone cap. 

This model is when Gibson changed to 20 frets (previously 19 frets). 

Mods/Repairs/Issues: Original nut replaced. G, A, and high e tuner are lightly bent when rotating, however functioning without issue. Non-original truss rod cover. Small wood block added behind strap button by neck to stabilize the screw. This Guitar was professionally refinished in the past. extremely well done and matches the era finish style/aesthetic perfectly.
