1963 Gibson SG Les Paul Junior Cherry

1963 Gibson SG Les Paul Cherry

Perfectly original, 1 owner closet queen. This instrument was purchased new by a gentleman who didn't really play much, put it in his closet and eventually passed away, we purchased it off his wife. Truly one of the best condition 1960's era instruments we have EVER had through our store. If you want the best-of-the-best Les Paul era SG, this is it - cheaper guitars can be found from this era, but not in this condition.

Weight: 6.1lbs

Case: Original Case

Year: 1963

Cosmetic Condition:  Guitar is in amazing shape and excellent condition for an instrument from 1963. The guitar does have a handful of dings and scratches throughout that are highlighted in our listing photos.  There are a few chips in the headstock, general scratching, as well as some cracks in the pickguard near a few of the screws.  See our listing photos for a closer look.

SETUP & INSPECTED BY OUR LUTHIER

Tech Notes: Setup to spec, plays wonderfully, and sounds great too. Everything appears to be 100% original, no fretwork, nut work, or crack repairs that I can see.  Small finish crack on side of neck heel but doesn’t appear to be more than paint. Fret wear is almost non-existent.  Guitar is in immaculate condition for its age.

Due to photo upload limits, we can't include photos of the internals for this guitar or blacklight photos. They can be provided upon request, just send us a message!
