This bass is a remake of the 'Adam Bass' from Spector's Woodstock Custom Collection released in 2022 with a different finish and a couple other changed specs. Here is some info about Adam's bass from the original collection:
Taking inspiration from the offset guitars & basses being built in Southern California in the late 60’s, Adam’s NS-1 features alder body wings, a three-piece maple neck, and a 34” scale length. For electronics, this bass features a single Lollar Thunderbird pickup paired with a volume control and a passive Stellartone ToneStyler BassTen tone control.
“I was inspired by the designs that were coming out of Fender in the mid 60s, particularly the Jazzmaster and Jaguar. Bold metallic colors, blocks and binding - my favorite! Then I went with the Lollar Thunderbird pickup both because they sound great, and because I thought it would fit in with the aesthetic vibe of the instrument. Finally, I chose the ToneStyler because while I love passive electronics, I think that passive tone controls have always been of limited utility. This one is much more useful and makes the instrument incredibly versatile.” - Adam Stoutenburgh
