Mattisson Series I "Swiss" 5-String 'Headed Headless' Masur Birch Bass

Series IV H/H ”Swiss”

-This bass is a one of a kind Mattisson bass, the most ”off the chart” they have made so far.

-What started as an ”easy to take apart” bass for travel turned into a Headed Headless bass with the functionality of a headless bass combined with the aesthetically pleasing look of a headstock.

-Double scale design, where the standard tuning starts at the second fret (with first dot on 5th fret). The scales are 31”/35”.

-"Bending well” under the C and G strings.

-6-string range in a 5-string bass due to the Hipshot Bass Extender.

-One of the most exclusive Masur Birch tops Mattisson has ever encountered.

Normally Mattisson includes one or two of these extra features in a bass, but since this ”experiment” has many, it's referred to as the ”Swiss”

We consider this bass to be brand new, but unfortunately it suffered some dings and marks from being played at the NAMM 2019 conference. Please see photos for shots of majority of flaws.
