To bring the vintage vibes, I requested 3 special features:
- Open pore satin nitrocellulose finishes so the guitar resonates better and feels great in hand (the same finish featured on our friend Dustie Warings’ signature model)
- 57/08 covered pickups that give a vintage look but also fat, warm 1957 Gibson-humbucker inspired tonal goodness
- Ebony fretboards to even out the warmer pickups and give some “bite” to the tone
These guitars are better than I even could have imagined when ordering them - the pickup, tonewood, and finish selection created a superior instrument that is so versatile it can nail vintage Les Paul tones as well as Tele twang when you switch on the coil-split switch.
