PRS Private Stock Angelus White Bubinga Pink Ivory Acoustic Guitar
This is it... as one-of-one as it gets! PRS will never be able to produce another one of these guitars as they have no more White Bubinga! We sold the first White Bubinga PRS Angelus a few years ago after it was displayed at the Woodstock Luthiers Invitational.
Private Stock Director Paul Miles told me there was one last piece of White Bubinga left (they only ever had 2 total) and I had to have it for this build. I opted to use a rarely seen but fantastic tonewood - Pink Ivory - for the fretboard, bridge, and headstock veneer.Ā
The inlay on this guitar really sets it off - check out the alternating white bubinga and "normal" brown bubinga feathers set into pink ivory in the rosette. On the fretboard is this incredible scene of two eagles fighting at the 12th fret, with their feathers falling below them and other birds watching from above. This inlay has only been on 2 other PRS guitars to date that I know of.
The Carpathian Spruce top is incredibly figured, especially when viewed from the right angle. This guitar is best-of-the-best lutherie, built by only 1 high specialized luthier at the PRS factory, and can take on any of the big names in acoustic guitar building with ease.Ā
